A deadly celebration. Synopsis |
CHARACTERS (CAST: 6 – 3F / 3M) YOLA (Yolanda) MORELLI – 90, a nasty, old spinster. Always seems to be on the attack. It’s Yola’s way or no way. She’s slender and is uncertain on her feet. Always walks with a walker. ELVIRA MORELLI – 83, a pleasant enough person, YOLA’s sister suffering from a YOLA induced inferiority complex. She tends to explode, whine and whimper. Always seeks YOLA’s – and everyone else’s – approval. Slightly overweight mostly from her inactivity. Once you’re on ELVIRA’s “black list”, that’s where you’ll stay forever. MARY CAMPANELLA – 81, formerly owned and operated a neighborhood beauty salon, she’s brash, bold and very Italian. She tells it like it is. She’s on the heavy side and busty. GARY MORELLI – 58, nephew of YOLA and ELVIRA, intelligent, always with a quick at times sarcastic response. A family man having a wife and children. Politically a liberal. JOEY (Joseph) MORELLI – 59, nephew of YOLA and ELVIRA, GARY’s cousin. Street smart, always with a quick at times sarcastic response. Although single, enjoys being around family especially with GARY and his family…has just about had it with YOLA and her nastiness. Politically a conservative. BRIAN McCOY – mid 30’s, a conniver, oozes with false charm especially to the senior citizen ladies, will do anything to get ahead in life: lie, cheat, steal. Doesn’t have a sincere (or sympathetic) bone in his body. |
