Synopsis |
SETTING The living room / dining room in a senior citizen apartment. A small hall leads to the door and it has a coat/storage closet, visible to the audience. Opposite this closet is the kitchen which is not visible to the audience. The furniture is very old but is in pristine condition. At the beginning of the play (Scenes 1 and 2), there could be clear plastic covering the living room set. ELVIRA could remove the plastic in Scene 3 as part of the final party preparations on the morning of the party (Scene 3). There should be a wall panel midway down hall wall containing a buzzer and speaker to communicate with anyone who would like to be buzzed in to the apartment building. There should also be an emergency button which is connected directly to the maintenance man (BRIAN). |
